Staff positions open

Camp director

The camp director position is for whoever applies and would oversee our seasonal enrichment camp programs. You would create camps, organize them, advertise and register, hire camp employees, and ensure that all camp locations and actions follow standard operational procedures. Qualities that possible applicants are looking for are people with extreme creativity, drive to succeed, and genuine interest in child care work and leadership.

Executive secretary

Whomever holds this position title is in charge of making sure all documentation and files are kept properly safe, confidential and easy to access for specific staff with specific security clearances. You are also in charge of assisting registrants with their transition and registration into one of our programs, making sure that what they’ve been signed up for that such services are being offered by the staff that are leading such program or offering service. Assuring that working physical locations are operating within protocol. And assisting executive directors in their work, schedulings of appointments, etc… Making sure that monthly payments are being met, a long with other forms of conducting communication with parents. Handling communication with law enforcement and organizations.

Finance Officer

We seek someone with general knowledge of basic mathematics and calculation skills for the Finance Officer position. Your task will be taking payments, keeping money safe, depositing/ securing funds, and assisting in budget creation and purchases for the corporation.

Health and safety officer

Learning Is The Way thrives on keeping and ensuring the safety of our clients and the people around them, including our other staff members. You are not to get involved in dangerous situations, but we are looking for someone who will create a safe environment for our students and put in and operate under proper and well-made safety protocols. We are searching for someone with a solid need to get hard work done. Has the ability to handle stressful situations with ease. And is caring and welcoming to anyone and open-minded towards different people and situations.

Network technician

If you're a techy, this is the right job for you. We seek someone with moderate basic to advanced computer skills to keep our network domain system safe and ensure confidentiality in our communications, document creation, and record storage. We want someone who is creative and willing to come up with constant new ideas to protect our computer systems.

Special programs director

Our organization offers more than tutoring; we have multiple other services. Our other services include Peer Counseling, LGBTQ & Transgender Support and Assistance, Homeless Aide and Assistance, Medical Aide and Assistance, and Seasonal Enrichment Camps. We have a specific position where whoever holds it is in charge of camps, but we need someone to run the other services described above. We are looking for a creative, kind, caring, and open-minded individual. Driven to work and get jobs and projects done. Someone who is willing to start and create new projects and programs.

Special programs supervisor

We are looking for some people to assist our Special Programs Director with running the other services aside from tutoring and seasonal camps. You'd be in charge of one specific service/ program and ensuring it runs to daily operational standards. You'd be looking for someone willing to work hard and with a clear and open mind. Has strength in difficult situations and can solve such with little difficulty and complexity.

Lead educator/ camp coordinator

This person will run a specific camp location under the leadership and supervision of our Camp Director during seasonal periods throughout the school year in public schools within California. During the educational period of the year, you’ll be in charge of a tutoring location under the leadership of our Executive Directors. I am looking for someone capable of leading an operational camp location, kind and caring, creative and intuitive. A person is willing to handle risky situations and handle complex interjections. Assistant lead educator/ site supervisor

Whoever holds this title will be assigned to a tutoring and camp location and will assist the lead educator and camp coordinator with daily operations. Suppose the assigned lead educator and camp coordinator are missing or absent. In that case, the assistant lead educator will take over control of the site for the day and/or period when the lead educator and camp coordinator are absent from their post. They are to follow the same protocols and rules that the lead does and have the same responsibilities.

Tutor/ Camp counselor

We hope to find positive, joyful, social, kind, caring, and sensitive people to assist our students and other registrants in our vast array of services and programs. Basic knowledge in science, English language arts, social studies, history, and math within the standards of Kindergarten and 8th grade levels is required. Knowledge in these subjects up to 12th grade and individuals fluent in other languages are highly asked for.
